Safety
|
It is the policy of Environmental Cleansing Corporation to meet or exceed safety and health standards, and it is our responsibility, to continually strive to maintain a safe working environment on all demolition projects and on company premises. A viable Safety Program has a direct impact our company’s employees and their families.
The goals of our Safety and Health Program are the prevention of accidents, the achievement of safe working practices and the preservation of equipment.
Safety depends on the day to day activities of all personnel on each site, and will rely on as many knowledgeable sources as possible, including, but not limited to, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) industry standards. The use of good common sense and the lessons learned from our experience in the wrecking industry are very important in eliminating hazards on the job site.
Owners and contractors, together with their superintendents, must create the proper work environment, with the cooperation and assistance of all employees.
Our activities will be guided by the safety philosophy expressed below:
- We believe all injuries and damage to health or the workplace are preventable.
- We believe safety must be given full consideration in all business decisions.
- We believe proper facilities, adequate training and approved procedures must be present and utilized for safe operation.
- We believe management, which includes all levels through superintendents, has a responsibility for preventing personal injuries.
- We believe that working safely is a job performance requirement for every employee.
Environmental Cleansing Corporation uses training, education and constant reinforcement to ensure our message that “safety on the job is of utmost importance”.
Employees will be trained for job specific operations, including use of machines and tools. In addition, our training will enable workers to recognize hazards, as well as how to correct those conditions.
On site pre-job safety meetings will be held daily. Superintendents will be instructed to outline, in detail, the safest way to perform each task. Their role on job sites is to guide workers in safe work practices.
